Nature of funding
Woodard & Curran Foundation is a public nonprofit organization dedicated to making grants that empower local and global solutions for a healthier world. Proposed projects must promote a clean and sustainable environment (additional preference will be given when those efforts include a defined educational component), include or rely upon volunteers from the community/schools/colleges, demonstrate significant progress on the project defined in the application, and support the public at large (i.e., not a single individual). Please see Grant Cycle for more information on our funding opportunities.
Organizations that qualify as public charities under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, national origin, political persuasion, age, physical handicap, gender or sexual orientation are eligible to apply. We do not fund houses of worship, political organizations, or political action committees. Further eligibility requirements are listed with Grant Cycle information and may differ between grant opportunities.
